Terms of sale
In force since 17 October 2026 · version 2026-10-17
Courtesy translation. Only the French version of this document is binding; if the two differ, the French text prevails.
The VAT statement (article 3) and the collection of consent (article 6) were checked on 31 August 2026 against the published texts. The consumer mediator required by article L. 612-1 has been appointed since 5 September 2026: it is CM2C, under an agreement concluded for a term of three years. Its contact details appear in article 10.
1. Purpose and scope
These terms govern the sale, by DecoScale, of layout credits allowing the generation of layout proposals from photographs supplied by the customer. They supplement the terms of use.
DecoScale sells no furniture. The products shown in a layout are offered by third-party merchants; any contract of sale for a piece of furniture is formed exclusively between the customer and the merchant.
2. Identity of the seller
Nassim Hasni, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel), registered with the Lyon Trade and Companies Register (RCS Lyon) under SIREN number 109 183 475. Contact: contact@decoscale.com. Full postal details: see the legal notice.
3. Plans and prices
The plans and their prices are shown on the Pricing page, which forms an integral part of these terms. Prices are stated in euros.
VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code (CGI). The price displayed is the price paid.
This statement was checked on 31 August 2026. The recodification of VAT into the Code of taxes on goods and services, which will replace it with article L. 223-3 of the CIBS, was due to enter into force on 1 September 2026; ordinance no. 2026-671 of 27 July 2026 postponed it to 1 January 2027, and the former references to the CGI remain accepted until 30 June 2028.
A layout credit does not expire, whether it comes from a pack or from a subscription, and remains yours after cancellation.
4. Order and formation of the contract
Before confirming their order, the customer reviews the details of their order and its total price. Confirmation is made by means of a function bearing the word “Pay” followed by the total amount due and, for a subscription, its frequency. This wording, free of any ambiguity, indicates that placing the order entails an obligation to pay, within the meaning of article L221-14 of the French Consumer Code.
As the label of the Stripe Checkout button cannot be customised in subscription mode, this statement is carried by our own order screen, shown before payment. The same screen collects the request for immediate performance mentioned in article 6.
5. Payment
Payment is made by bank card through Stripe. DecoScale has no access to any card data. Credits are added to the customer's account as soon as Stripe confirms the payment.
6. Right of withdrawal
The customer has fourteen days from the conclusion of the contract to exercise their right of withdrawal, without giving reasons and free of charge (article L221-18).
An online withdrawal facility, free of charge and permanently accessible, is provided in accordance with article L221-21.
If the customer has expressly requested performance of the service before the end of the period and has obtained it, they remain liable for the amount corresponding to the service provided (article L221-25). A generated layout constitutes a service provided.
This request is collected before payment, on our order screen, through two separate statements that the customer ticks separately: the express request that the layouts be available immediately, and the acknowledgement of the loss of the right of withdrawal for layouts performed at their request. The same screen states, before the order, what will remain due in the event of withdrawal (article L221-5, 9°). The order and its date are kept, together with the version of these terms displayed at the time.
How the refund is calculated
You pay for what you have used, we refund the rest. The refund equals the unit price of your plan multiplied by the number of layouts you have not used.
- the unit price is the price paid divided by the number of layouts the plan includes;
- the layouts not used at the time of the request are counted;
- the product of the two is refunded to you, by the original means of payment.
Example. Pack of 10 layouts at €16.90, that is €1.69 per layout. Seven layouts used, three left: refund of 3 × €1.69 = €5.07.
If all the layouts have been used, no refund is due. Using a plan in full is not a purchasing error: it is full use of the service.
The refund never exceeds the value of the remaining layouts, and no amount ever remains owed: layouts already used create no debt.
If you have made several purchases
Your layouts are used in the order in which you acquired them: the oldest first. Each remaining layout is then refunded at the unit price of the purchase it comes from, not at an average price.
This rule works in your favour: a withdrawal within fourteen days concerns your most recent purchase, whose layouts are therefore still intact.
Example. You have 20 layouts from a subscription at €1.17 each, then you buy a pack of 25 at €1.52 each. You use 5, then withdraw from the pack: the 5 used are taken from the subscription, the pack is intact, and it is refunded to you in full, i.e. €37.90.
Checked on 31 August 2026. The applicable qualification remains to be confirmed by a lawyer: it may fall under 1° of article L221-28 (services fully performed) or under its 13° (digital content not supplied on a tangible medium). It no longer determines anything, however: both require the same thing, prior express agreement and acknowledgement of the loss of the right, and article L221-25, third paragraph, provides that if they have not been collected no amount is due by the customer who withdraws. They are now collected before any payment. The calculation above therefore constitutes the obligation under the second paragraph where 1° applies, and a concession that binds us where 13° applies. In both cases, what is written here is what is applied.
7. Term and cancellation
Subscriptions are concluded for one month and tacitly renewed. The customer may cancel at any time, without notice or fees, by means of the online cancellation facility provided for in article L215-1-1. This facility is accessible without creating an account or signing in, in accordance with article D215-1.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Credits already paid for remain yours.
8. Failure of a layout
If the generation of a layout fails, the corresponding credit is automatically returned to the customer's account.
9. Accuracy of measurements
The dimensions of the room are estimated from the photographs supplied. DecoScale always displays the associated margin of error and asks the customer for a measurement when confidence is insufficient. The customer remains responsible for checking the dimensions before any purchase from a merchant.
10. Consumer mediation
In accordance with article L. 612-1 of the French Consumer Code, every consumer has the right to have recourse, free of charge, to a consumer mediator with a view to the amicable resolution of any dispute with DecoScale. The consumer must first have attempted to resolve the dispute by a written complaint sent to contact@decoscale.com.
DecoScale has appointed, by an agreement concluded on 5 September 2026 for a term of three years, the following mediator:
CM2C (Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de
Justice)
49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, France

These terms are governed by French law.
